Boscobel Marketing Communications Wins “Stevie” Business Award for Best Company of the Year
Firm’s president also named as finalist for Lifetime Achievement Award
[SILVER SPRING, MD] — November 20, 2008 —Boscobel Marketing Communications, the Washington, D.C.-area branding and PR firm now celebrating its 30th anniversary, won recognition as Best Overall Company of the Year by the Stevie Awards for Women in Business. The awards were announced at a dinner ceremony in New York City on Friday, November 14, 2008.
Boscobel won top honors in the category of Service Businesses Up to 100 Employees in Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations. Joyce Bosc, president of Boscobel, also was selected as a finalist for the Lifetime Achievement Award in the category of Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations.
“I’m honored that Boscobel’s hard work has been recognized by our peers,” Bosc said. “To be honest, I’m also a little relieved that I was not awarded the Lifetime Achievement award just yet. I’m a little too young for that one. Boscobel has lots of good years ahead, and many more opportunities for our clients, our people and our work to shine.”
This latest award joins other accolades and recognitions that Boscobel Marketing Communications received in November. Earlier this month, Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett recognized Boscobel’s 30 years of service to the business community by commemorating the date as “Boscobel Marketing Communications Day” in Montgomery County, Md.
Boscobel, a woman-owned company, is a GSA schedule contractor and currently holds contract vehicles with USDA and the Office of Personnel Management. It’s also the first agency in the region with a dedicated Merger and Acquisition Transaction Support practice. The company’s current industry client list includes Acquisition Solutions, Inc.; Citrix Systems; Cox Communications; TechTeam Global, Inc.; and QinetiQ North America.
