B2G Insights: Networking key to unlocking government business

One aspect that I particularly like about the business-to-government space is the opportunity we have to continually learn. Both government and industry provide access to information that could prove beneficial for those of us in pursuit of government opportunities.

These entities understand that knowledge is power and that we all benefit from it -- even small businesses.

"But Joyce," you may ask, "how does a busy business owner or business development executive take advantage of these opportunities?"

It's called networking.

One of my business tenets is the following: It is better to work more on the business than in the business. Granted, this tenet can be a luxury at times, but it's something I try to follow as much as possible.
