STG, Inc.

Capturing the next level

STG, Inc.

Situation

Since 1986, STG has provided the U.S. government with performance-based solutions, with core competencies that include information technology and applied engineering and scientific support. In an effort to expand their already successful company, STG’s management team knew they needed to target major government and military opportunities.

STG had to:

  • Strengthen the company’s brand in both the government and military space.
  • Increase news coverage in military and government IT trade press.
  • Raise the visibility of their expertise in performance-based contracting, particularly in relation to the Army’s TEIS and ITES-2s contract opportunities.

Results

As a part of our RFP communications program, Boscobel met with key program managers, business development and marketing executives, and even members of the press to develop a clear picture of STG’s market perception. Armed with this information and a careful review of key criteria in targeted RFP opportunities, Boscobel then used this data to develop media opportunities that showcased STG and its subject matter experts in important content areas.

From bylined articles to industry trend pieces, Boscobel made STG’s name synonymous with TEIS and ITES-2s -- contracts handily won by STG. The Boscobel team also consulted regularly with STG’s business development and marketing teams to provide input with regard to ad development and placement, trade show support and broadcast media campaigns.

In one campaign year, STG was mentioned in the government and military press more times than any other monitored competitors, with twice as many quotes as all of its competition -- combined! When it came to industry trends and major government contracts, Boscobel made sure that the press turned to STG as the voice of the mid-tier community.
