Public Relations Account Executive

Position Description

The public relations account executive (PRAE) will assist Boscobel’s public relations team with the coordination and delivery of strategic public relations and outreach strategies for Boscobel’s IT, engineering, commercial and government clients. Please note that this is position is not eligible for telework or relocation.

The PRAE will:

  • Serve as primary liaison between Boscobel and multiple clients, managing internal and external teams to establish strategies, execute tactics and meet deadlines.
  • Develop and carry out global outreach strategies for our clients.
  • Assist and support creative development teams as needed.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with media and influencers.
  • Research, write and disseminate media pitches.
  • Write news releases, create and maintain industry awards calendars, and identify opportunities to place bylined articles, op-eds, news releases, etc.
  • Oversee Boscobel website updates and maintenance.
  • Identify new business prospects and participate in business development activities.
  • Assist with coordinating, placing and analyzing advertising placements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two to four years of experience at a federally focused PR firm, trade association or non-profit
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Understanding of social media with examples of current and successful uses of online networks – e.g., blogging, Twitter, YouTube and Facebook
  • Sense of urgency respect for service and deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, public relations or journalism
  • Passion, creativity, team spirit, attention to detail and a sense of humor (a must!)
